Natural pigments on ironwood
Gift of Dr. Stuart Scougall 1959
On the excursion of NSW Art Gallery, I observed
this outstanding art of one of the Tiwi artist at Milikapati. Pukumani
poles have great spiritual significance within Tiwi cultures, They use this
poles as part of their commemorative ceremony. They design this poles as
characterized of the deceased person's life, and the number and size of
the poles indicated their status. The family member assign men that is
not closely affiliated to the deceased to engrave the poles and supply
food for the carvers during their period of work. This amazing work of art
from Tiwi Island attracted me because how they sculpted and painted them with a
mixture of ochres and coloured synthentic pigments. Which I think it is an
extra-ordinary work that every design represent each of them.

Delicious account in academic study
I find the delicious
website convenient tool in academic study every time
I need to do my project I could make it easier
and more efficient recall and save any website for me to use it later. It is
free and easy to use anytime; anywhere I want to read article and journal for my
studies. I realize that by using Delicious, account, I learned how to be organized
with my research materials. I am happy that all my website page are safe, and
I do not
need to waste time searching again for me
to gathered all information I need. It is also interesting that I can share the useful reading list with my
classmates who wants to read the website I save on my online bookmark, or If I
do not want to share some of my bookmark pages,
I have the choice to mark them in private.
Three ways Twitter is used in academic studies
I
find this Twitter amusing because of its several purposes not only for my personal use but also it is helpful in academic
studies. I believe that this is another
advance way for me to communicate
effectively and for me to have easy
access to the professional group and any
department. The first academic purpose of using Twitter is a practical way for me doing my
research projects by giving me much chance to acquire more sources to my
homework. Twitter has this page to help called “crowdsource”
where I can find an enormous interesting
academic topic that I can get help to gather information, to edit and help me
to analyze my paperwork. In addition, I
can tweet my
new searching materials to help my
classmates. Second Twitter is beneficial
to the student to be updated in many large departments in university whatever
events, seminars, and lectures that I am interested in
attending. By using Twitter, I can have an opportunity to communicate with Ph.D.
students and other researchers. Lastly, I
can use Twitter cooperation with blogging I learned
that I could have access to many author
blogs who update their blogs regularly. I
can follow them to read their blogs and use it to my study.

Email protocols in academic study
Email protocol in academic study
Learning
email protocols for academic use is
significantly necessary. It is beneficial to students and teachers. The first
purpose is for students to present their task in a well-organised manner. Following all these features will make student
and teachers do their roles efficiently.
For example, providing an appropriate subject line for an email before sending
the task makes it easier for teachers to find the emailed task. Additionally, using footers and writing
the student's name and date prevents giving feedback to the wrong person.
Moreover, teachers who are receiving numerous emails find it is simple to locate
them an appropriate and informative subject line is used. Writing a clear and concise message is important to
prevent the reader from misunderstanding the
message. Some
students forget where they saved their file. By writing the file path on
the footer, the student can recall where the
document is located. Putting pages on the
paper is also useful for the teacher to
know where to start to read the document. Sending a group email is useful if
the sender would like to send a similar message to a couple of students. However, make sure to use a blind copy to maintain
the privacy of each receiver. To protect all the information and
file in students computer make sure to create a secure password as well as use
a verification if necessary, there are
some ways to verify the user using SMS, voice call or random number generator.
Backing up emails is very practical to assure that students have another copy of all files.
Moreover, the second objective of learning the academic email protocol is to
practise the students, to act and
respond in a professional manner.
Suitable address such as Mr. and Mrs. should be
used if needed, and writing the correct spelling of the teacher's name
will give a professional impression of the student.
